About - Emelly Velasco

Visual artist, writer, designer Mexican-Hollands speaker with Central American roots, since 2009 she began her activities in brand and symbol design, was until 2014 when she dabble in her abstract work with surrealist touches, going through abstract expressionism, the artist masterfully capitalizes on the diversity of color, drawing inspiration from the profound principles of polarity and transmutation, concepts she intimately knows within her own psyche. Together with various artists, she collaborated in different iniciatives to promote art, mental health and culture also as guest artist at different art studios and galleries.

Her works based on the search for feminine aesthetics, her abstracted cosmovision of the healing soul and recognition of the astral, as well as elements of power with the hierarchy of royalty, with techniques in Oil, Acrylic, Ink and Gold Leaves; her work has been presented in Central America, in Mexico, Italy, The Netherlands and the United States.

From 2014 that she decided to dabble in her abstract and surrealist work through expressionism taking advantage of the chromatic as in the series “ENCOUNTERS OF TWO SOULS” in 2019 when the color use was a need to express but in 2022 she started the series «LA FEMMALE» using achromatic visual textures.
